How to Deboss?

How do I set up a deboss effect on some text on a label? Octane's displacement doesn't allow for negative values.

Hi,
if you set the Mid level to 0.5, the black goes down, while the white goes up.

What about ticking invert in the image texture node?

thanks - I was using a c4d bitmap, changed to an image node and inverted, and it looks good
