If SLI poses aproblem, is this a binary issues, i.e. doesn't work at all vs works? Or is it an obscure slowdoan, rare problem etc?

I ask because I occasionally paly games on the render machine and it's always in SLI mode (since changin the mode is a bit of a nuisance to me). I can use blender & otoy plugin and it works usually, but I wonder.

Hi voon,
since SLI handles the memory in a different way, you can have VRAM issues if SLI is enabled.
As Frank said, just enable/disble it in Nvidia control panel.

I seem to recall SLI in the NVIDIA CP a long time ago. But when I go back there now, it is gone.

3D Settings > Configure SLI, Surround, PhysX > SLI Configuration > Disable SLI ;)

Yah...Not there.

Assuming SLI requires that linking cable thing, I'm wondering if it is because I never install the cable, so that maybe the NVIDIA Control panel does not see SLI as an option.

:? I'm using 378.66, which isn't recent, but not that old... Anyway, option to disable is available in my version, even without SLI bridge attached.

Hi,
note that the option to untick could be called Multi GPU, instead of SLI.

The only thing I have is a parameter called "CUDA - GPUs", with a drop-down menu allowing me to select however many of the GPUs I want to use for a particular app.
