I've been trying to bake some lighting into a plant object in a scene. It uses the first set of UV to layout the leaf material (with alpha) and the second set to bake lighting. But when I bake I'm getting the alpha of the material overlayed on the entire light bake layout.
I thought that the "UV set" option under the Bake camaera's "Baking" tab might be help, but it doesn't seem to impact the render at all.
Can anyone confirm if this is even do-able in Octane atm?
Thanks!
Baking with alpha/two sets of UV

Hi,
It's do-able manually. But not with the uv map selection of the bake camera parameters on my 3.07 version. I don't remember if it worked before but i'm afraid it's a limitation of Cinema 4D or Wavefront obj file format: it's impossible to send more than one uv by polygon. As the uv set selection works internally to Octane and C4D is unable to send more than one uv set, it doesn't work.
There is a manual workaround. It's more a trick than a solution if you have a lot of maps to render. If you invert order of UV maps tags manually in the object manager, it will works. Unfortunately, this kind of manipulation seems to not be recorded by the takes. It could be usefull in this case.
At least in the Standalone with Alembic or FBX export it will work fine too without any tricks.
I hope this will be usefull.
