Hello Paul,

I just posted a wish here:
https://render.otoy.com/requests/?qa=34 ... -orbx-file

I wonder if this could be done by modifying the current export to ocs feature?
Right now this will export an small ocs file, together with a folder called "assets" where the geometry is stored as obj. files.
If there would be another folder called textures, this would be the solution for my request... if it would then furthermore be possible to tell rhino / octane to do a relative search for a "textures" folder in the directory where the rhino file is located , we would be able to move the project file / or textures used in the project to wherever we want without breaking the links...

this would be really nice!

best

Is there another potential solution where you export to ORBX, then load the ORBX as a proxy into your new Rhino scene?

You can also load an ORBX in Octane Standalone and File->Unpack Package in order to obtain all the texturemaps.

Thanks Paul,

i was not aware of the unpack Package command in standalone... I just tried it, and it basically does the job!
To relink the textures to the file, I turned off my network connection, opened the file in Rhino... now octane cannot find the textures and asks for the location, I link to the textures, which are now local on my HD, and the textures are replaced with the "new" ones ...
