i want to know if you can render all particles including particles from fumefx or realflow straight from octane without the use of openvdb or anything like. Really thinking about buying it.

Hi goku223344,
Octane supports PhoenixFD without exporting .vdb. Octane can use fumeFx and realflow through .vdb. Fumefx will be supported, this is in the developers to-do list.

Ok that makes sense, I have two questions. How to do I simulate .vdb files directly in fumefx. And if I do simulate .vdb can I take those files and render it nuke using octane?paride4331 wrote:Hi goku223344,

Hi goku223344,
You can use .vdb from FumeFX but it has an issue about the arrangement on the scene that needs a fix.
About questions about Nuke, you could ask in Octane for Nuke forum,
viewforum.php?f=90
where you will find useful answers.
Do not forget if you own a subscription license, it as bundled with OctaneRender Studio for NUKE
