try it! they both seem to jump back/trail behind the mouse - about 15mm on my screen

Although, you can see, I tied a bunch of mesh's together that would have similar properties (but only show as 1 material node in Octane) by joining them as 1 object. Perhaps this could have had some bearing?

In Fact, It looks like I joined all 'non image based' lighting (I guess Studio Lights) Together on this test. But all arrows are pointing how they should be (representative of Normals)
