I read earlier that packed primitives are supported, right? What way they are supported? Are they supported with copy sop the way they are supposed to be or they are converted to geometry? Is there a way to octane understands them as instances on sop level or we still have to use common instancing on object level?

Hi,

All the packed primitives are rendered by the plugin, but not this feature is not going to instance the geometry while working with the copy sop. From the scene point of view, while extracting the information, the copy sop is not seen as an instancing tool by the HDK. All the geometry is unpacked and converted to geometry, so instancing at SOP level is no possible. You need to use the conventional instancing at OBJ.

Hope this helps,
