anyone even able to use 3.07 in 2018? I get a crash everytime it tries to authenticate my license, switching to Octane Render.
You need LW2018 plugin (Juan already siad he will release it this week) to use it in LW2018, just as there is LW 2015 plugin and LW 11 plugin.3dreamstudios wrote:anyone even able to use 3.07 in 2018? I get a crash everytime it tries to authenticate my license, switching to Octane Render.

The plugin will always support at least the latest three LightWave versions available, that are currently LightWave 2018, 2015 and 11.6. Some features could be not available for the older versions due to LW SDK limitations (like for example the current FiberFX rendering, that is not available in the LW 11.6 plugin build), but like I said before, the plugin should work without problems in the latest three LightWave versions.tyrot wrote:Juan , this is most important question for me,
will you support LW 2015 after release of Octane 4 ? ... If you do not support LW 2015 (and before) then i will update to 2018.
In any case, supporting the LightWave development is always a good idea, so updating to LightWave 2018 will help to ensure the LightWave future for sure, and also the future of all the LightWave third-party plugins
Thanks,

Is there any chance we can get some examples of what will be improved if we upgrade to LightWave/Octane 2018.
I really would rather not spend money unless I can clearly see some good benefits that justify the cost.
Thanks

The speed improvements are enough for me personally. The UI is more responsive and quick, handles high poly much more easily etc.

Hi thanks for your reply. Sorry I didn't mean the improvements in LightWave 2018 itself, I meant the improvements to the 2018 version of the LightWave Octane plugin.mikefrisk wrote: The speed improvements are enough for me personally.
