Hi,

I have a problem using the Highlight Compression with Linear Renderbuffer. In the Liveviewer the Highlight Compression is working fine, but if I render to the Pictureviewer the compresion is gone, no matter which value I choose. If I set the Render Buffer Type to Float (tonemapped) the Highlight Compression is working fine in the Pictureviewer.

I'm using Version 3.07-R2, saving 32bit exrs, my scene is set to:
Render Buffer Type: Float (linear)

Camera Imager:
Gamma: 2.2
Response: Linear

Any idea why it's not working? Many Thanks in advance!

Hi siha,
since the Highlight compression is part of tonemapping option, you need to save in float tonemapped mode to save the effect.

Hi, thanks for you quick reply.
Unfortunately that's not an option, because I need the color informations.. Is there a way in compositing to achieve the exact same result?
