I was wondering if you guys had considered letting people use Octane Render as a light bake/ ao bake engine. Not a view based one but one that would bake & output map of the combined uv's of the obj file. Think the inclusion of that feature would generate additional customers from the game engine crowd.

Would this be hard to do? Is all that information available at all times on a gpu renderer? Baking large light and ao maps are painful(ly slow) in mental ray when you want really high quality output...

Just wondering...
Thanks,
/Christian

It could be great feature.
Is any chance that it will be available in future ?

search the forum for 'baking' or 'lightmapping and you'll get a response ;)

Totally understand that this wouldn't even be on any priority lists right now :)
If it would be possible down the road, I would be stoked.

Thanks for making rendering interactive and fun!
