Just a test of faster glass rendering. Rendered with new pre 2.3, Took about 5 minutes to render. a couple of different camera responses used.

nice but what's the verdict/conclusion.

on a scale of 1 to 5, what's the improvement.

1. worse
2. cannot see difference
3. slightly better but unsure
4. an improvement
5. works perfect now

this would be good feedback to direct our development for the next pre 2.3_4

..just tacking on my opinion of the new glass...
in my amateurish experiments I find it 'good' but somehow 'lifeless' and ultimately not convincing. :|
somehow it looks plasticky no matter what
I would rate it 3.5 but I'm no expert technically.

Hi MaTtY631990,

I like you renders but there's a problem I'd like to address: I think there should not be any space between the liquid and the side-borders of the glass (have a look at the example below).

To achieve this in octane, you must make the liquid mesh compenetrate with the glass mesh.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks,
Giuliano
