Pic attached, I'm rendering xparticles from a cache. The time per frame creeps up, with octane spending longer and longer setting up for each frame, but about the same time actually rendering the frame.
if I restart the render, the time per frame drops back by about 50%, octane now spending much less time preparing to render. Then gradually time creeps up again.
Wonder what's happening here.
No difference if I cache to a file, or cache internally, cache locally or over a network.

So it's about lookup function from cached motion data. It goes longer when cached data becomes bigger. Send a sample scene if you could do, i'll test it.orb101 wrote:yes
