» NIGHT STATE export now also supports a 'golden hour' state, so there are now three total: day, golden hours, night. See chapter 09 in the Phantom Node Link manual for more information.

» XML node data export: group naming has been changed to be more consistent.

» When you export an AREA-scatter, PER TRI-scatter or IMAGE BASED-scatter, the taskbar button will now blink 10 times when export is complete. This way you can let it process the export while you work in another program and then see the taskbar button flash when it is done so you know when to press CTRL+V.

» Implemented fix for XML node data export. Octane Render 3 is now required to use the XML node data export. This is because nodes using Octane Render 3 specific features were forced into the Octane Render 2 feature level and then broke.

» Fixed imperfection with IDs in XML node data export. Export is now more stable.

» OBJECT DETECT export in PER-TRI now have a dynamic scaling feature. See chapter 21 in the Phantom Scatter manual.

» Fixed bug in exports on geometry far away from the origin (0,0,0).

Rendering times are becoming a real problem with the incredibly detailed scenes you can make using Phantom Scatter. I'm implementing an LOD system to take care of the problems. With good LOD (does cost more effort to setup) rendertimes can skyrocket.

» OBJECT DETECT export in PER-TRI now has XY-variation supported. See chapter 21 in the Phantom Scatter manual.

» OBJECT DETECT now has the keyword '_mirror_'. Useful when placing around mirrored interior objects such as couches. This flips it over the Y-axis.

» Fixed problem in CURVE previews.

Starting 01-01-2018, our public tools (Phantom Scatter, Phantom Node Link, Phantom Photo Match and Phantom Architecture) will no longer be available for licensing. Lifetime licenses will remain active.

Hello Phantom

That's bad news! Did I well understood that I will loose all access to phantomscatter at the end of my annual license (no renew, no perpetual license ) ?

What would be the interest of the new tool you are tlaking if I'm not an architect renderer ?

Hey Smaker1,

We are shifting and going to fully focus on architecture. The new tool won't be useful if you are not into that. But you can still get a lifetime license, that will never run out.
