I was running a render last night using the internet (Not wireless... fixed IP number)
Our internet server went down. So I am disconnect from Octane Live etc.
It wont let me save my image or my file.
So I connected to our wifi and have internet service via that.
I Still can not save image and when I try and sign out and sign back in it will not let me.
This was a long overnight render and I'll be pissed if I can't save it.
Is there anything I can do to tell the standalone that I AM online and I have service.
If not this should be fixed. I understand the reason for your licensing method... BUT if one is a legal license owner and you get a distrutpion in service you should be able to save the file you started on (when you were legally connected)
I know I can run in offline mode and if this is not a bug then I will run in offline mode (If I can get that working)
Is there a TEMP file of the render stored anywhere ( MacOSX)???
Urgent... Disconnected... Issue Number Two

Would love some feedback on this... just knowing if there is a temp file would be good
Thanks

Can you save the render state to .ocr?

I had to force quit mate. But I did try that. No saving worked.
Octane is quick enough that I was able to re-render and meet my deadline... the main reason I am following up is ....
I think if you are connected via hard wire and server goes out and so you connect via WIFI you are essentially locked out cause it 'started' on manual IP number etc and it remembers it and says ... nope you are out! Is that a possibly accurate scenario?
My wish would be... if you started connected it should 'remember' the connection until you save and quit out... that way the 'legal' connection is honored.
Thanks
Peter
