When I choose the option to "Edit in Standalone" from the Live Viewer, the result that I see in Standalone looks correct. However, when I choose To "Export to Animated package," the result differs, in that the boolean operators in my shot are now suddenly visible (they should not be.)

I really want to get this working, as it seems that Standalone could shave a minute per frame off of my animation (if I could get Standalone to actually render my animation), and that would be significant.

Hi jayroth,
if you are having issues exporting a specific animated object, my suggestion is to export the object in Alembic inside c4d, to bake the animation, and replace the original object before exporting.

Thanks, Beppe, but I cant get Octane Standalone to render ANY animation, and yes, at least one of my objects is a baked alembic. In fact, the whole animation is 200 frames long, but Octane sees only 10 frames. In addition, boolean operations that are correctly displayed in Live View, and do correctly show in Octane when I choose the Edit in Standlone option are not performed when choose the Export Animated Package option.

OK, after spending some time with this, I have made everything work, thanks in large part to you, Beppe.

The issue with the frames I was able to resolve by setting the frame range to Manual in Cinema. Automatic and Preview modes did not seem to set the value appropriately when exporting the animated orbx package.

The issue with the booleans resolved on its own beyond the first frame render. All subsequent frames have rendered correctly regarding that. Fingers crossed on the rest of it.
