Hello.
Is there a way to avoid this artifacts in extreme Bloom and Glare situations?
Bloom and Glare artifacts

Post effect in octane is great, and it works almost all the time when combined with beauty pass, but in this situation it's creating those bending steps.
For me it looks like the post effect is calculated in 8 bit color space.
Could this be the reason for this artifacts?

Hello,
I think you can tweak settings to achieve a cleaner result, but actually we can still notice the presence of artifacts especially in the light at low frequency temperature.

Yes, it can be tweaked but it looks like something is fundamentaly broken under the hood with post effect.pxlntwrk wrote:Hello,

I've just finished a job using this tehnique and it wasn't pleasant.
I had to use some compositing tricks to hide a wall of color bending artifacts entering the frame with first pixels of iluminating lines.
I hepe this will be fixed in the futre, because when those artifacts are not visible, post effect could be very beautifull and hard to recreate in post.
