Hi If you look at 2 images you will see pathtracing has great light but why AO light is barely lighting up three. It is a direct light so AO light should look the same as pathtracing
Even increasing brightness makes light light up a huge area around the tree but tree itself is still dim We have to use AO because it is animation we we need fast results

Can you look at my scene attached and jsut switch between AO and Pathracing/diffuse there is a big difference. maybe this is how ao works? Thank you

Hi coilbook,
your tree is 18mt, I don't know if you want this.
Said that, your issue depends on your emitter material, delete it and use a simply diffuse material with a black body node in emission slot.
My advice is to use simply geometry with emitter, to reduce noise and render time.

I think i got it now. The tree is supposed to be very large. So we increased power level a lot due to its size and I guess diffuse gives additional light bounces thats why it will be way brighter. Thank you
