it seems that it could be done somehow if i place a object in front of the emissive material, with a specular texture added with some volume medium could achieve something like that effect - but i don't know if it's the best to do it.

it seems that i cant' get the 'rays' from the light. and if i go near the logo the light / mist effect goes away as i enter the object assigned with the medium material.

Or would it be better to add a volume medium node to the nvironment?

Jorgensen

Ps. I use the SketchUp plugin. But I guess that’s ok.

well i have played around with the medium node in the enviroment settings, and have now some fog - thanks to https://inlifethrill.com/fog-octane-render-cinema-4d/

but the light is still not 'alive'....... but dohhh while i write this, i just realized that i have been using the direct light kernel, changing this to PT, make it a lot more nicer :-)

so - use PT kernel, not direct light.

thanks
jorgensen
