I see a ton of potential in using the WebDesktop service OTOY provides, but with the limited number of apps I have in mine upon opening it I have little use for it.
Is there a way to install other programs for streaming as well, like Revit or 3ds Max for example?

Hi trmendoz,
you can use ORC using 3dsMax Octane cloud tool (Render setup> tools) or exporting your scene from 3dsMax to SA using 3dsMax exporter tool (Render setup> tools) then to ORC.
Personally, I always recommend exporting to .orbx and testing your scene in SA before sending it to ORC.
If your scene works well in SA, it certainly works well in ORC too.
