Hi
I'm trying to setup "dark hardwood floor Octane LiveDB on LightWave surface editor. I couldn't make exact same material. There is a problem with Refraction index. There is "Float Texture" node in Octane standalone but there is not that in LightWave surface editor nodes. I tryed scalar node but that didn't make me happy. Any idea?

open your octane texture node in the node editor. you find than the options what kind of texture you would use..the options are ... color/float/alpha...
you would found under "Octane Textures" (left side under the octane nodes) also the Node named "Octane Float Texture"...

I'm sorry, yes you are right. There is float texture node in LightWave too but it's not compatible with refraction index.

Well, the float texture node is only a node to set a float value. Set this value directly in the material node, the rendering should be the same.

Thanks,

Thanks for all helping.
There is not Float value in directly LightWave material node. Is that what you mean?

Yes, the refraction index only can be a float value. You can set it in the material node.

Thanks,
