Hi,
I'm using VDB volumes in a scene but there is a lot of banding in some point. Has anyone experienced the same issue?
Thanks

I noticed when i was using Volume in the medium slot of the Daylight system, and the scale of the scene was to high i got banding similar to that, only in circles instead of straight lines.
Might not be the same, but similar atleast.

Hi Mortimerio,
I tested your scene, there are no particular problems, some errors such as you did with OctaneDaylight medium radius, in fact it was 1, this means your media is applied for a meter radius around the camera, therefore useless.
about horizontal bands, I think they depend on ray epsilon setting. is a very wide scene, try testing it with 0.001 or 0.01.
The .vdb you are using in Km and miles, I think should have medium volumes with different step lenght and volume density,
I used your .vdb in the screenshot, as you can see it is less dense than your scene.
