Using max 2015 / 3.06.4 - 4.39 to test this, but it does not work.
I guess this has something to do that the box shape particle gets transformed in a movable proxy which shares its UV coordinates with each other?
Funny thing is that UVs of the particles CAN be overwritten by Octane using the World based BOX MAPPING.
Anyway this is very basic particle stuff I am doing here
The big goal for me would be to map the RGB values of a point cloud on a color image map like described here:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=29951
But if this isn't working I can forget about my plans doing this in octane.
Or do I miss something here?
Tnx
Boris

ok never mind
I found it:
disabled Pflow Mesh instancing in Octane global prefs.
But now it is eating up VRAM (I thought so). might be overkill to render a 20 mio pointcloud with little cubes.
I guess then it will be treated like a big mesh.
