i just saw that there are a few eGPU options out there. I'm under the impression that the Akitio Node (https://www.akitio.com/expansion/node) is a affordable and good solution to make some nice renders together with my Macbook. It seems that My Macbook (Mid 2014) would work nice with the Akitio Node (through a TB2 to TB3 Adapter according to https://egpu.io), but i also want to use it with my normal PC when i'm at home. Sadly there is no Thunderbold Connector on the Motherboard (https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/X79A-GD45-Plus).
Do you think it is possible to install a PCIe to TB2 Card and connect the Akitio Node trough the TB2 to TB3 Adapter? Or do you have any other idea how i can connect the eGPU to my PC?
