Hi Goldisart,
I do not know if I understand what you mean but reflection and refraction using specular values, not diffuse.
I do not see any difference with previous versions 4.39.
If it does not work properly, I do not think, but you may be right, then it depends on SDK because in Octane SA render it's like in 3dsMax.

why such noise from IES?
noise does not go away even at 32,000 samples, adaptive sampling does not help
tested on a standard IES Octane and self-light texture IES Octane
3.06.4 - 4.35 - 36 -38 -40 VR = BUG Ies
Ies always worked quickly and cleanly, but now everything is bad
this user subscribed to the subscription and has been suffering for three weeks! Faster would use another renderer

Hi Elvis,
I do not think IES lights have much noise.
You should consider attention, using lights, to normal map, displacement, and specular.
Also consider not to incorporate lights into geometries and/or using specular materials.

Hmm I think soemthing is wrong with texture reload and color correction.
While tweaking materials I get no preview updates in some cases. Hard to track down. It changes as soon as I open the octane window. Pressing "Reload" in material editor also sometimes doesnt work.
