X-Particles visible in Live Viewer but not in Picture Viewer

Hi, I recently installed the X-Particles demo. While I can see the rendered particles (skinner) in the live viewer perfectly, I just can not make it work when doing a render in in the picture viewer. The particles just won´t show up. I added the X-Particle effect to the pipeline before the Octane renderer. Any help?

i don't have xp for R16

I use the trial version. Anyways, I got a working result by exporting the particles to alembic and importing the alembic into my scene.
