Hi,

I'm experiencing an strange issue this days.
When I try to render something, randomly, I got this error.
octane_error.jpg
Looking at the log file, it seams that this a cuda error. Don't know why. I use 3 titan to render. temperature are ok ( less then 69°C)
And much strange. I never get this error with octane standalone.

here is the log file :

Can you help me with this?

Thank you so much.

Hi,

If you want to send me the standalone scene I could test it here, but from my experience, these kind of CUDA errors are related to system or driver issues.

Do you have this problem while rendering with only one GPU? You should try to render the scene activating only one GPU to see if in this case, all works fine. If all GPUs work fine one by one, but while rendering with all activated the problem is still there, perhaps you have a broken PSU.

Also be aware that sometimes Windows 10 updates the NVIDIA driver without notice, so perhaps a newer, no verified driver is the source of this problem.

Thanks,

Hi Juanjgon,

Thank you for your help.
I have uninstalled all drivers and reinstalled. But after a while... error.
Then I have tested the cards one by one. And it seams that one card causes the render crash. I'm not sure but for now, this is the only solution I see.
I'm a bit afraid that the card is broken. But I don't know how to test it.

Well, if you have the crashes only while using one of the GPUs, it can be a hardware issue with this board. But the problem can be also related to the mainboard or even the PSU, with one of the power lines broken.

To be sure you should put this GPU in another PCIe slot and use other power connectors ... if it fails, then the problem is the GPU for sure.

Thanks,
-Juanjo
