Hi guys,

Is there a way to light my scene with the HDRI and also the directional light?

I want to match up my Directional light with the HDRI's strongest light source so I can drive the power via the directional light, giving me more control over the overall intensity without using the power option in the octane menu that uses the HDRI as its source. I hope that makes sense.

Do you mean the Sunlight in the Daylightsystem? If yes you can choose Daylightsystem and enable use Texture Environment. Then it will use the Directional Sunlight and the HDRI.

Apologies for the lack of documentation on this. Release notes for 3.5.0.115 state...
- Added a Visible Environment button (refer to the Octane 3 Visible Environment documentation for how this is used). To access this, you need to add a second Modo Environment, and set the Octane Environment Use to Visible Environment. The Modo "Visible to Camera", "Visible to Reflection Rays" and "Visible to Refraction Rays" properties are used to populate the Octane Environment Backplate, Reflections and Refractions properties
This should achieve what you are after.
