Hey guys, maybe someone of you have found a way to use refractiveindex info for creating metals, plastics etc ?
I guess Gaussian Spectrum is great for it, but then again i dunno how to set technically correct values, all i can do is to guess and find it in an artistic way and usually readjust it in different lighting setups.

In Vray it was easy also it had 3rd party ComplexFresnel which made the work alot easier. In Octane even the gradient doesn't work properly ( no curve etc ).

With the upcoming OSL support, this and other things will be easily added in Standalone and all plugins very soon.
ciao beppe
