3ds max 15 - Wont open old file from end 2015

Hello,

I recently got a small project update for a very old project using octane.

We tried opening it at several different pc, but it wont work. We tried merging one piece by piece and it wont work. We tried merging only geometry pieces etc. but there are either a hundred of different pieces in the file broken or something alot more simple.

The files can somehow be opened when octane is not installed at all - it opens in 2 seconds. Its only saying that dlls are missing. In the missing dll part its saying that octane render version 2.24.2 - 2.10 is missing.

Since this version is not listed in the download section I went into the forum where I found this version:

This one is now installed on two pc, but they just freeze while loading or merging.... No clue.

Even 3ds max settings have been resetted on 3 pc.

This is quite annoying since we do not have any other issues and are working on really high end pc all over.


If there is anyone who has an idea I can provide with a wetransfer link to the file..

What about Octane Render 3ds Max plugin version are you using to open your file?
OctaneRender® for 3ds max® 2.26.1 - 2.23?

nope as max reported me that octane version 2.24.2 - 2.10 is not installed I looked for that version and found it here:

Why should I install 2.26.1 - 2.23?

Hi Ke,
I think your file has some problem, maybe corrupt.
I re-saved yourscene (test01) and saved by merge (test02).
Both versions seem to work (screenshot) , hopefully you too.
I sent a wetransfer link.
