Hey

I am trying to match some render to a footage.
The footage is loaded in as a sequence in the background and "Use viewport background" is checked under Kernel in the rendersettings.

The problem is that the footage loaded in the background is a sequence and the activerender doesn't seem to update the background image when scrubbing the timeline.

Is this a bug or simply not a feature?

Best regards.

I've noticed this same thing and always just thought it was a limitation of Octane. It only updates your viewport background if you actually close out of your Octane viewport and relaunch it. It will then load whatever background image is set for the frame you're on when it opens.

If the background can be updated in the octane viewport depending one which frame your play head is set to, I'd be very happy.

That was good news.

Thanks for bringing it forward paride and thanks to the devs for sorting it out.
