Hello,
Is there a way to setup the colours of the materialIDs ? Because actually it generates random colours for each material ... no problem if render goes straight forward on 1800 frames ... but if the render crash and you have to relaunch the render in the middle of the sequence ... it attributes totally different colours to the the materialID pass ... and this is really annoying in NUKE ...
thanks a lot for your help

Hi nelsig,
you can specify your own id colors by using the Octane Layer node for single or multiple objects, and by rendering the Object Layer Color Infopass:

Thanks a lot ... sorry, I forgot to specify I'm using C4D to render, is there a way to do this in C4D directly ? or do I have to export my scene to the standalone ?
thx

Hi nelsig,
yes sure, you can use an Octane object tag to a an object or a group, and set the Object color in the Object layer tab:
