Hey there,

i have to simulate a Day Night Cycle which is easy with the built in System. The only problem i have is that the sky looks very boring. I know i can change that for a Texture Environment but then i have a static image. Is it possibile to blend between the Daylight Sky and a texture or even combine them via Blendmodes like multiply?

Or do you have another idea to achieve a nice animated sky?

Thanks in advance

So i found a workaround:

I rendered the daylight animation in a exr Sequence and exported my whole Project to ocr.
In Standalone i made a image sequence and loaded a HDR with nice clouds. I fed these in a multiply node and plugged it to the Texture environment. Now i have both nice clouds an a nice transition from Day to Night.

It would be great if this was possible directly in Modo!

Hi - ideally the plugin would allow images sequences for the environment texture (as it does for materials). I will add this to the TODO list for the plugin.

Thats very nice!

I also found a bug. If you render a scene without a mesh and try to save the image modo crashes.

I could not reproduce this error. Which version of the plugin are you using pls? And what format are you saving to?

Thanks. I am still unable to replicate this crash. Could I ask you to delete your ModoXXX.CFG file pls and see if that resolves the issue?

Thanks
