Hello All,

So I am working with mapping a luminance gradient on a character. I separated the character into two parts -- the top (torso, arms, head) and the bottom (legs, feet). The bottom gradient works perfect -- it is black by the feet and pink in the middle. I want the top gradient to do the same thing and it looks great when I have it in the T pose but as soon as I move it, the texture moves for some reason!! I don't understand why it is doing this -- I am using U gradients and cylindrical mapping on the texture tag.

You can see here it looks like I want it to

And then when she moves (excuse the weighting, it's a bit crazy right now -- still in process), the texture remaps to something different. This doesn't happen in the legs and I haven't keyframed anything...is there a better solution to get this look?

Please help !! I really need a solution to get this look :(

Hi likeshesaid,
did you try to set the projection of the Gradient to World coordinate, instead of Object coordinate?

Wow! Apparently there is a "stick texture" tag that completely solves the problem in such an easy way!!

So crazy... thank you for your response :)
