Hi,
I have searched for an answer for this but couldn't find a definitive one.
Is it possible to continue a render once it is finished? For example if you underestimate the needed samples.
Another thing I would find super useful is the ability to stop a render but save how far it has rendered so far with its passes. Is this possible to do?

Hi joecurrie,
if you render in Live View, you just need to increase the Max sampling for continuing rendering.
If you render in Picture Viewer, you can enable the render region option, and render the portion at a higher sampling.
It must to be said that Adaptive sampling has completely changed the game, since you can always set a very high sampling level, and work with the noise threshold for setting the speed:

About saving the state of the render during calculation, you need to export the scene to Standalone and use the Save state command. In this way you can reload the state and restart from where was stopped.
