Hello, trying to create a hologram look so I have a bright light texture on my edges and semi-transparent on my faces. However when you're looking through the object, the edges arent emitting light as it is the reverse of the normal. Is there any way to have a polygon emit light along its' normal as well as the reverse of the normal?

Use "side" node as amount for mix material.
So prepare material for polygon side 1
Another one for polygon side 2
Mix them in mix material and assign "side" node in "amount" of this material.

Hi RyanJP,
with only one poly it is not possible, because OctaneRender does not emit light from back side, only from normal side. So the Side node is not a solution in this case.
The only workaround is to duplicate and flip the surface, slightly moving it a bit.

You can use Cloth Nurbs to do it procedurally.

Although actually (for anyone else who may read this) I think I'm going to convert the edges to splines and render them as emissive hair
