Perhaps its a bit too late guys, i know that someone or someteam is fixing all the problems but i thought i share mine:

- Crash all the time, cannot even do anything
- logged in fine and got activated
- Export using KilaD plugin: Crashed straight away
- Open the standalone application: Crashed straight away
- Export to Obj and import the mesh manualy: Crashed straight away

Fix attempt:
- Uninstall the old version 2.2 something: Not working
- Numerous restarts and head banging: Not Working

I can only drooling and ask the basic question when problem hits: WHY ME...????

Perhaps the vram is too full to have work space??? dunno....HTH
I've been getting this black view port problem, too, lately, though my graphics card isn't as new as yours. Because I use mesh import instead of the plugins right now I thought maybe the camera was starting inside the mesh but now I'm not so sure. I'll have to retry this in pre-25 but was this black view port thing fixed?
