I know that is a question that not regard the Octane plugin, butin some way regard the Octane/Cinema4d users so I try tto ask here if someone knows a way to assign random Octane materials to different objects.

Let me explain with an example: I have15 different Octane Materials of stones with different parameters (colors, bump, spec, etc) and I want to assign them to a group of 100 objects in random mode.

The only way that I know is to use the old plugin called "Random materials" that have however a lot of limitations (only 10 materials, no way to map correctly the objects ..).
Even using MoGraph Fracture Object and then put the multishader material on the Fracture give (for my opinion) the result.

Thanks for your help!

why don't you use one material with octane gradient? Assign multi textures to gradient and add randomcolor as input.
