Hi,

I have installed the Octane Render Demo plugin for Inventor as per the instructions but the Octane Render button is not showing.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi. What version of Inventor are you using pls? And what was the installer filename you used for the plugin? Does the Octane Standalone demo version run OK for you? (To test this, rightclick the nodegraph canvas and add a Glossy Material, and then click that material node to start rendering). What graphics card and Nvidia driver version do you have installed pls?

Thanks

Thanks, Paul. :)

Inventor
Inventor Professional 2017 64 bit, Build 233, Release: 2017.3.1

Installer
OctaneRender_for_Inventor_2014_2016_3_3_2_16_64bit_DEMO.exe

Graphics card

Demo runs fine in so far as there are no problems when I follow your instructions.

Thanks.

So the demo version of the plugin IS working, or is NOT working?

I've never used OR before so I don't know if it is functioning correctly, but I can load a model, follow your instructions and OR doesn't crash, stop or do anything bad.

OK, I'll take that as it's working.

No, the standalone demo works, but the Inventor plugin does not.

Does Octane Standalone start rendering your model (post a screenshot here so I can see that it is working pls)? If yes - then you have all the required hardware and Nvidia drivers setup correctly, and the issue is related to the Inventor plugin specifically. Let me know and I will take a closer look at the Inventor plugin demo if needed.
