Hi,
in color correction brightness is 1 (as default). But why isn't it 0,5? With a value of 1 I can only darken the texture.

I'm sorry - I don't understand the question you are asking.

Default value of Brightness is 1. So I can only decrease this value and I can't lighten the texture or the color.

You can brighten the texture using Gamma and Contrast.

If you are plugging an Image node in the Color Correct, you can also set the power of the Image to > 1.

Ok, thanks.

But I don't understand why value is 1 and I can't increase this value. For my "brain" is more logical to have a default value 0 and can decrease to -1 or increase to 1

I'm sorry - but that's the way it is. Maximum brightness is one.

Hi Paul,
please, could you take a look at this post I wrote?

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=61528&p=314754#p314754

Could you remove the limitation of value=1 (max value) in rhino plugin?

thanx

What would you like the "Maximum" to be? There needs to be a maximum so that the slider has a range.

Hi Paul,
I don't know wich value must be the maximum; it could be the same that is in the Octane standalone.

The Rhino plugin maximum values are automatically sourced from the Octane Standalone maximum slider values. The Octane Standalone Color Correction Brightness slider has a maximum value of 1, but you can override this by entering a value > 1. So if you want a value > 1 in Rhino, I need to hardcode the plugin to override the maximum slider value of 1 for the Color Correction Brightness, in which case I need to know what the "new" maximum should be. The Rhino slider must have a maximum value, which represents the value when the slider is move to the far right. Keep in mind that uses will still want to move the slider to change the brightness, so it will need to not be a very large number, otherwise this adjustment will not work well for users expecting a value from 0-1.
