Hi!
I've created a scene with X-Particles and TFD. The scene renders fine the live viewer and also renders fine with Octane in the Picture Viewer when rendering a still. However if I change from Current Frame to All Frames it crashes as soon as I hit render.
I tried rendering with both Arnold and C4D render engine and both of those render TFD animations fine, it only seems to crash with Octane.
In addition to this, as an experiment I created a scene with nothing but a TFD container (no emitter or Geo and no cached volume). I then added an Octane tag to it so it was nothing but the container and the tag with no cache. Even then it still crashed C4D when trying to render.
Any thoughts at all?
Thanks!
3.06 crashing with TFD animations.

Have you tried to render TFD-Octane sample scenes?

Where can I find those?aoktar wrote:Have you tried to render TFD-Octane sample scenes?
I can't seem to see them in the Octane sample scenes folder.
Thanks!
In samples package from release topics.

Cheers dude!aoktar wrote:In samples package from release topics.
I tied out you flamethrower TP scene and it worked flawlessly!
This is so bizarre as whenever I try an make a new scene of my own I cannot get it to not crash with animation at all and this is all I am doing:
Add X-Particles emitter with default settings.
Add TFD tag to X-Particles and set Temperature to 1.
Add TFD container and leave at default settings.
Run simulation cache.
Add Octane tag to TFD container and leave at default settings.
Set Picture Viewer to Octane render with default settings and change Output from single frame to All Frames.
Render.
Is there a guide anywhere which covers using Octane with TFD perhaps? Clearly there is something I need to change beyond the default values as your scene is fine.
Thanks dude!

Can you send me a scene with this setup? So i can reproduce...
