Hi Paul,
I am a business customer and I have been using Octane for Rhino to make my own project. But I'm having a very troublesome problem:
when Octane for Rhino creates new objects that do not automatically refresh, and the new object created in Octane for C4D is rendered in real time. I hope Octane for Rhino can be like this. Every time I create a new object I need to click on the VFB of render window to click the refresh button and I think the interaction is not very convenient. If I want to create a very large objects scene, it should give the user the pause to refresh button in the VFB of render window.
Thank you.
Best,
Alxen

..don't have a moveable proxy option in rhino, it usually works in all packages I use it all the time, it pops the object in the realtime viewport while rendering (without refreshing), as well as making it an instance

In C4D live view you can choose between auto mode and manual mode, usually C4D is set to auto mode and it may be useful.
I have looked at doing this in the past, however there is a problem in Rhino where if you change the material if a mesh, no event is fired for a plugin, so it is not possible for a plugin to know when a material has been applied to a mesh. So the plugin could add the new mesh item to the render, but it would not have a material. So I don't think this would work well for users. McNeel have indicated this will be fixed in Rhino6, so I might be able to implement your request then.
