Small house presentation for an office I work at.
drops_viz3_v1.jpg
drops_viz4_v1.jpg
Done in Octane for c4d and Photoshop
The house design was created by Domowe Klimaty - architectural office. It's really small house (about 70 sq. meters usage area), supposed to be very cheap.
Snow on the ground is done with displacement, including the foot leads. It's kinda funny, cause till version 3.05 I couldn't use displacement (wierd artifacts appeared, when I tried to mix to many displacement materials). After update it started to work.
Snow on the roof and other object = 3D sculpting, only some of the snow on the trees was done with magicSnow plugin (based on c4d particles system). Material is nothing fancy, very simple glossy type with noise in roughness and bump.
Light was done with simple octaneDayLight, with HDRI as a backplate (and for reflections).

Render settings:
Max sampless: 4500
Diff. depth: 6
Specular depth: 8

Filter size: 1.2
Caustic blur: 0.02
GI clamp: 201
Path. term. power: 0.3
Coherent ratio: 0
Parallel samples: 8
Max til samples: 16

Yea, I did this render few months ago and I thought it was fine, but now I can see that background is weird. Guess I can call it a "progress" :P
