OctaneVr - C4D viewport
Hello. I've being using the Octane VR plugin in C4D for a few months now, but just in the last days I'm struggling with a very strange behaviour: when I apply an Octane material to an object it disappears from the viewport. I let Octane manage the viewport of course. Note that it doesn't happens always, but randomly. It's driving me crazy. I run Win 10 with GTX 980M. Any ideas? thank you.
Disable alpha for opengl textures from settings/other and let me know the results. It requires restart.

Hi dath,
sorry , but is not clear to me, with viewport do you refer to c4d viewport or c4doctane Live Viewer?
If you are referring to c4d viewport, probably an issue with OpenGL
If you are referring to c4doctane Live Viewer, it depends on the geometry engine mode you are working with. If you resend the scene, does the issue is solved?
Did you see this video about real time update?

There's a bug on C4D for alpha texture on OGL previews. It makes wrong calls and causes this. Try with latest R18 because it ahould be fixed by Maxon. Otherwise keep it disabled.dath wrote:Hi. I was talking about C4D viewport. Disabling alpha for opengl textures as aoktar suggested seems to work so far. But... why?
