Updated 3.06 Slave Daemon wont run. Error Win 10

hello there,

everything was running fine till i updated to 3.06 today on the slave machine running windows 10. i've also updated my c4d plugin to 3.06.

was able to network render and setup pretty easy previous version.

3.06 won't run the "_run_installed_daemon". i am however able to do the "_install_daemon"

can launch "octane standalone" on slave machine, but not "octane-cli" without missing dll error ( see attached )

anyone else having this issue with win10 64bit and 3.06 on slave machine ??

any help greatly appreciated.

Just to clarify, what prompts do you receive when you enable Network Rendering on the Standalone from Master Machine?

Nothing it just blinks like it's going to open but never does.

Update: am doing a clean system install as I interrupted a windows 10 update. Want to eliminate this variable. Will post another update soon.

Azen,

do not get any prompts on master machine. everything runs fine there just nothing in the network rendering window.

just did a new windows 10 reinstall. same issue after winodws did all it's updates. have ASUS X99 motherboard.

again, i just see the slave app blink and shut down. if i try to launch "client" i get missing ddll error. see attached image.

anyone else in windows 10 having this issue ?

PLEASE NOTE : this all started after i removed 3.05 and put on 3.06 for slaves and c4d plugin.

please help as i have a deadline and need my "slave" machine badly

tech support only suggested installing c++ 2015 wich won't install on my win 7 pro 64 x

man this really sucks. three days of complete system reinstalls and nothing.

so i finally got something in a prompt in the Master today.

to be clear, i am running latest c4d plugin and slave is standalone is 3.06.

see attached images and let me know what i should do ?

your standalone and C4D versions are not matched pairs.

ok now i am confused. so when you post downloads on the "downloads" section of the site, does it not show a matched pair option ?

for example, i downloaded the lated c4d plugin and latest standalone.

your article link is show c4d plugin 3.05 and then standalone 3.06 ???

Where do you see 3.05 in link? It's just writing "Changes since 3.05.3" on change list. All stuff is 3.06 here and matching. Just check releases forums for downloading as a customer. It's always more up-to-date.
