Hi, has anyone come across this before?
One of our machines seems to be using C4D standard render to make the material previews, they work ok in the live viewer, but you cannot preview the material in the editor at all.
On our other workstations the previews look like this:
But on one they always look like ths:
All machines running 3.06, C4D 18.041.
The only difference is one runs Windows 10 with 1080 GPUs, while the others use 980ti on Windows 7. Geforce drivers are 381.65
One machine is using Cinema for material previews?

Did you tried to force the preview by double clicking material balls?

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying, yes we have tried that and render/render all materials.
It's the same in all scenes, even just creating a material from scratch, but only on this one machine.
Also, in the editor window, materials have to be turned off or the object becomes transparent?
It works fine in the live viewer/renderer.

Try with 18.048 or later. If it still happens then disable "alpha for opengl previews".PHM wrote:Hi, sorry for the delay in replying, yes we have tried that and render/render all materials.

Hi Aoktar, those options were set on.
We have managed to solve it by deleting the contents of the prefs folder from
user\AppData\Roaming\Maxon\Cinema 4D R18_xxxxxxxxxx
and letting Cinema rebuild it.
