Hi everyone,

New to octane here, pardon me if it's asked again, did a search but no luck.

I have a geometry, which is mesh output from a flip sim, but octane doesn't render it at all. I know it's depended on GPU Ram to load the geometry, but it's not so heavy (I think), and I have a 1080 TI.
Setup of Octane is definitely correct, since it's rendering anything else. I have no clue what's wrong.
I have attached the file (Houdini bgeo), if anyhone want's to have a look.

Btw is Octane Standalone included with VR subscription?
I would like to try there, but I can't find it.

Thanks,
Kind Regards,
Bill.

Hi and welcome!

We have a Houdini specific forum to post bugs, feature requests, etc. It is easier to follow all the Houdini plugin topics there ;)

About your question related to the attached file, the problem is that you have built an object using polygon soups, that currently the plugin can't render directly. The solution is to add a Convert SOP node to convert the polygon soups to regular polygons. You can convert the polysoup before writing the bgeo files, or later after reading the file, as you can see in the attached image.

Thanks,
-Juanjo
