I know there is a topic regarding phoenix already although the execution is still somewhat vague and the latest test release does not give much information. Does the most recent Max Octane plugin work with Phoenix 3.0 beyond liquids? I have played with the trial version a bit but liquid sims are the only thing I have been able to render as they are a mesh. If there is a method of getting smoke/fire to work through phoenix with octane does it need to be exported as a .vdb and re-imported? Is that currently possible? Different programs but this promo with Houdini & Octane looks like everything is done directly through the viewport which would be amazing with phoenix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJWH0LhV3f8

Tl:dr: I need to start learning Houdini but can I get my sweet explosions & bunny clouds done with phoenix 3.0 to work with Octane 3ds Max? Thanks!

Hi djropi,
At this moment Octane Render is unable to render Particles but only meshes in Phoenix FD

Thanks Paride. This may be more of a Phoenix question but is there currently a way of converting smoke/fire to a mesh or is the best workflow exporting a .vdb? Saw one or two posts where it looked like a few users were able to get smoke/ fire to render but that may have been fume. Not sure if phoenix currently has .vdb export?
