Up dated to the 215.21 WHQL drivers and no changes, still at 17.7 ... arg
EDIT: Just noticed that it makes no difference leaving the PhysX setting on auto or CPU - With SLI enabled it drops to about 12 either way
What nVidia drivers are you using?
most people get best multi-gpu results with SLI off (ALWAYS), and physx on, others the same but with physx off.sgrinavi wrote:Up dated to the 215.21 WHQL drivers and no changes, still at 17.7 ... arg

Hi,
The last driver for my nvidia GTX 285 in Windows 7 x64bits is this: 258.96 WHQL
Is good for Octane? This driver have Cuda 3.1

If you read through the thread you'll see that some ppl are getting better performance from 197.45 drivers, but for me that wasn't the case.madelgado wrote:Hi,

Upon reloading Octane, scene voxelizes, load the textures and crashes with this error : "Display driver stopped responding and has now recovered." I'm using drivers 258.96 WHQL. I've made sure to load each device as well via import or from Octane with no success. I've also tried to load the file directly from Octane but when I click on the mesh it crashes with the same error. Using Pathtracing.
Are people using Dev drivers or regular?
Using 1022_beta22_RC3_win_x64
I also noticed using GPUZ that computing for CUDA isn't checked for both 480's.
What is the most stable Octane setup and driver setup for 2x480's? Particularly for pathtracing animations. Please advise.

is this the case for all meshes you try? - demo scenes too?
edit: also why are you using RC3 when beta2.2b is out?

It doesn't happen to all scenes, but a lot of them. Last night I was trying simple boxes and Octane kept crashing or would disappear fully after a few seconds of being launched. Gonna go try 2.2b now...
