Match render to a given image

I have a completed scene that I want to match to a photograph of a model (for an integration work). Which would be the best method to get it done? I can´t obviously insert a background image because the scene itself will cover it. Any tip on this?

If the scene covers too much to position the camera it to the background I always make a more simple scene.. To use it onky for adjusting the camera tomthe backgrpund photo.. Somin example only the outerlines of the important object(s).
Then after good camera you can switchback to your complete scene.
I just simple get the camera position with trial and error, no special treatment.
I know Phantom has some tool for it though.
