Hello Everyone!

I am struggling with how to create fog or volumetric lighting in Octane for cinema 4d for quite a while now and I haven't found a single solution yet.
I am not looking for ways to do it in post, but to do it in cinema 4d. Im am trying to achieve the volumetric lighting how it works with the regular cinema 4d lights with volumetric light turned on.
I tried the HDRI environment with a medium node, but all that happens is that my scene gets really dark and no lights streaks or whatsoever.
I tried to recreating a spinnin alarm light, but the light it emits is barely visible, even in a dark scene, so I want to make the beams coming from the light stand out more by using either fog or volumetric lighting.

Somebody who has a solution for me? Thanks in advance! :D

Hi RNZO,
the Medium Radius and the Phase value have a great impact with god rays, please have a look at this example scene:

As CinemaGFX has already said, you can use a simple geometry with specular air material to recuce the fog where you want:

Happy foggy rendering,
